I tegration of cad ith SAP is done in two ways, I mean the requirement can be in two ways,

1.SAP to CAD

2.CAD to SAP

The relavant to SAP can be configured

Pl understand that Only a limited data is available for integration

1. materail

2.BOM

etc.,

To link the Drawing Configure DMS( Document management Systm)

Configure Document type you can find the AutoCAD or Provieor Catia or what ever you like in the reference

Attach the drawing to the equipment in material master

to have the good intgration you must know the data base administartion

Auto CAD when you open the drawing you have the facility to call the external data base and link the compnent with the item of material master

its tricky and difficult, as u know every thin is difficult when do it first time

I am looking for the steps involved in the Cad integration process. For example a spare for a centrifugal Pump is loaded in the SAP material master and we have a 3d exploded drawing for the pump. So how is the drawing is interfaced with Spare coded in SAP. Please clarify
