As long as the dollar to Rupee difference holds where it is, india will remain one of the choice destination for outsourcing. The only issue there is that many inefficiencies are hidden by the dollar rupee convertibility.
I do not see the incoming business threatened in any way except by our own lack of professionalism in handling clients.
There are plenty of growth areas possible....infrastructure management is just one of them. With remote handling growing as a solution method, the ability to service client requirements is also growing. Dell handles a lot of customer complaints on its laptops by remote servicing. This is just one growth path. There are many more aspects where the ability to provide service is facilitated remotely. Such areas will all in their turn become growth areas for outsourcing.
Indian offshoring is expected to grow from current USD 1.4 billion to USD 4.2 billion before year end 2010. Zinnov, a management consultancy outfit, forecasts Infrastructure Management Services IMS to be the next big growth Indian offshoring. The banking, financial services and insurance industries are the biggest users of IMS services and will constitute approximately 43 percent of the market. High tech telecom, manufacturing and retail industries will constitute approximately 12 percent each and will be second biggest consumers of offshored IMS services

It is very difficult to say whether standardised or rationalized. And now automated thing has also come in. But still I would say if any comapny is following standardised way it should shift towards Rationalised. Though there are a lot of security... |
