Recently, i read an news paper article where the Electricity Board in Bangalore has made an initivative to turn off the billboards after 10pm. What do you think about this move? Is turning off illuminated billboards in the city a good move towards the conservation of energy?

I believe that this is definitly a good move towards energy conservation. Illuminated billboards use a large amount of power and this is common in all cities. We can see every where that the illuminated billboards are kept on till morning which is a mis use of energy. So by keeping it off we can save a lot of energy.

We cannot live with power cuts though there is a lot we need to do. Nuclear power is the answer and till when we do not develop an alternative to this we just cannot help it. |
