Most of the project delays are due to approval related issues, post which the procurement and erection is not that streneous. The duration when the Materials are getting approved, is a really streneous one. The project must be pre-sequenced in such a way that most of the people get to realise the weight of the project by participation. THe sequence must be of gradual effect.. a material getting approved reaching there.. another one following it.. and nearly all the technical team(that needs to be there only during erection)to have a preview of the Bigger project their assignment is a part of. This will keep a driving force of 'wanting to see the system running' into all of them. Also the task of Documentation and Approvals should be single handedly dealt by one person, or a confined segment of team, so that the stress is not spread. All members having their seperate parts to play, and respecting the gravity of task, the team will remain motivated, project over project...
