Let us share the lessons we have learnt from the layoff happening all around the world...
It might be from your own experience or from others...
Share and let others know about it...
Three aspects:
1) For the existing employees in the company - let go of their emotions and work with empathy and professionalism.
2) For the people who have been laid-off - difficult times and need to plan (go to www.manager-tools.com and get info on the finance and other aspects of layoff). This is also a good site for existing employees to understand what to do if they are the next targets.
3) For the company itself - very difficult as they need to decide whom to let go off - it is not an easy task as they are not firing an employee, but a family. They do (if they are really professional) assist in terms of arranging for interviews, recommendations etc to enable the employee to secure the next job.
There are a lot of information available on the manager-tools site to assist the manager, the employee and others involved in the process to do this effectively and efficiently - keeping the interest of the employee and the management in mind. Do go through it. The contents of the site are a culmination of the lessons learnt which can be very useful for those who are interested.
- Create a confidential Career Profile and Resume/C.V. online

I think all the best point have been mentioned but still to add I would say some brochures can be kept with every travel agency. Instead of focus on only few loyal travel agents we broader approach should also be used , |
I would also like to add that efficiency in terms of resources can be achieved by contribution from the customer’s side but what about efficiency in management? What about the improper management practices? According to me Hotels should first make... |
No, I dont feel that it will be a success. People might not prefer going to stay at such a hotel because they wouldn't have anything to do. Most of the gadgets work on electricity and they might feel concerned about living in room with no electricity.... |
