People mention, they work for "Leading company", "Reputed company,".... If it is so then Why do you hide the COMPANY NAME ? Any view ?
The simple answer behind it that they don't want to share the name of the company just to keep away from prospective/ future employees, as there is every possibility of inquirry from unknown members from different social websites.Or there are some guidelines or restrictions to be liable from such companies.& nothing else. Anyway, good question, Srirang.
It is one way of making oneself important.
The less said,better it is. I find this question most personal.

Srirang, if we're interacting professionally, you will anyhow know where I'm working.
Since we are interacting socially, I feel that there is no reason for you to know the name of my organization or me to know the name of YOUR organization.
I don't really care which particular organization you're with or even if you're jobless. I will communicate and forge relationships with people based solely on the strength of their ideas & values.
Good Q sir, I feel some companies don't allow social sites in company hrs and 2nd thing is that some don't wanted to be disturb like jobs opening or else... might be some-others reason! GoK
