Even though IT - booming, Open source may have a lot of opportunities (like java, php etc. why some other technologies may have less opportunity.do u have any idea abt this?
Today only i recd the news from SILICONINDIA that TCS is going to recruit 140000 engineers in this year out of that 70% will be freshers....it seems IT is booming..Similar approach from Mahindra Satyam, Infosys etc...

Interesting question. The reason why these technologies are having more opportunities is, many applications are developed by java and php which is supported by many of the devices. Almost all electronic devices are controlled by these software. Especially the mobiles, all the applications and softwares are developed by Java and php. This is reason why other applications have less opportunities.

India is best in its IT brains. This is the reason foreign IT companies like to work in India with Indians. They have money, we have brains. So, they pay us a lot of money which we need. This is the reason IT is booming. This boom is not so much in other sectors. But that doesn't mean they have no options. They also have very good markets but IT is on the top these days due to its high salary. Thats the only reason...
