Pakistan on Monday offered rewards worth five million dollars for information leading to the capture, dead or alive, of the country's Taliban warlord Hakimullah Mehsud and 18 lieutenants. The rewards for top-ranking Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants were offered in a black-and-white government advertisement on the front page of The News daily and flashed on Pakistani television channels on Sunday night. Anyone who captures these people dead or alive or provides concrete information, the government will award them a cash reward, the advert said. Informants should contact the local administration or law enforcement agencies, said the advertisement, pledging full anonymity.
Will this see any change ? Will the public support the Pakistan Govt. to capture the Taliban leaders?
I don't think so Mr.George, Pakistan is not only fighting with external problems like Taliban, but internal problems of its political instability. Pakistanis will never accept India. But it seems very soon Pakistan will get divide into 2-3 different countries...
It is just an eyewash to hoodwink USA from whom Pakistan is receiving unlimited dollar aid. The question arises, was the Government of Pakistan sleeping all the time till now having not been able to curb the terrorist activities and nabbing the culprit? Where there is a will there is a way. But, when Pakistan itself is supporting terrorism, through its ISI, why it should be interested to capture any terrorist leader, when the Rulers of Pak fully know that they are at the mercy of those terrorists? People of Pakistan also know when the Government is not able to capture the dreaded terrorist how the helpless poor Pakistanis can do such a gigantic job? Any bounty of even trillion dollars cannot do unless the ISI and the Pak police mend their way. I really wonder, how cleverly Pak could hoodwink the Bush Admistration for all those years?
Pakistan will merge India in this century as they will be not able to stop terror in the country. Finally the peace will establish in the region on that day

No we do not need change first. We need the implementation of laws first. Once they are implemented properly then we can think of change. How will change be helpful if pre-existing laws are also not implemented? |
