Anna keeping increasing the contours of his stance, each time he is given him demands by the government. Yet he refuses to enter electoral politics. This is irresponsibility and leads to authority without responsibility.
Dear Ravindra,
I know the good work done by Anna in Ralegaon. And I feel sorry sorry for it as I know his shortcomings too. He is not able to lead a nationwide crusade like this because of his many fallibles. He for now must have realised that he has been taken for a ride by many of his colleagues. He is as pointed out in Too-step no longer in control of the situation.
Anna is a man of incredible integrity and has stupendous work here. But unforttunately he has got caught in a cob-web of ego, deciet and opportunism. Not many of the Team - Anna knows the real India and he will be, God forbid, associated with them as history writes its pages.
I would love to see Anna disassociate with his Team. No need for any maun vrat or anything. Just come back to the village and carry on his work. Probably over time he will recognise the trees from the woods. Or he will be lost in the woods.
See his initial reaction to the person slapping Sharad Pawar. 'Bas ek hi tappad mara'. And his subsequent attempt to pull out of it. Anna Hazare seems to be a rogue as each day passes. A man who has no value for his words. We Indians can be fools. We were referring to him as Gandhi - II, a few months back. God bless this country.
Yes I totally agree with most of the group that this movement is frivilous. However most still feel that Anna integrity is beyond question.
I personally do not know him and have not followed him before this movement. But this is true the ideal solution is what Shanthi Roshan suggest. Get back to his area of work. And I understand from her writings she is either from Ralegaon or has been closely associated with it.
Yes! People with different agendas crop up different mascot or less kindly a mukda to try and capture power through the backdoor. We have seen this over the years (precicesly 3 times - JP movent, Jan Morcha of V. P. Singh and now, Anna).
I for one was particularly fascinated by the Jan Morcha movement. I was in the that age - a age prone to live in the world make-believe. Though that all ills of the society was the making of the governemnt. However, I discovered the reality soon enough. Once the Rajiv lost the elections, I was witness to the marginalization of V. P. Singh and the rule of scounderels.
Today's scenerio does seem to be playing out the same way with Anna at the center-stage. Remember all three movements were against Corruption. Yet nothing has changed.
First let Anna get out of his confusion. Whether he is on a maun vrath or shouting from roof-tops, whether he wants to enter electoral politics or not, whether he will campaign for or against Congress or simply abstain. Is his movement against corruption over or not. Once he is clear in his mind regarding himself, then he can preach to others. This gentleman smacks of irresponsibility.
Very aptly worded Shanti. 'Lost in the woods.' Even if I do not have the soft corner for Anna that you have, I do assume he is a man of integrity. However, to the best of my knowledge he does not tolerate difference of opinions and even worse is susceptible to people with dubious intention. He is also very much ego-centric and prone to shoot his mouth of. Maybe the latter can be explained as simplicity of the man. But a good amount tend to call it naivety. And to such a person dictating, to the government in the guise of Gandhian is just not acceptable.

Please do not misunderstand the stand of barring night shift as questioning the morality of concerned person. Frankly to casting a blanket label on any group is utter madness. I definitely do not wish to hold on to such blanketing. I am sure most of... |
Wonderful insight there P-rak. Needs all of us to think over this simple fact we always forget. |
Yes surely the sportsperson should not be barred for any awards if they are found worthy for their commitment to social clauses. To put the record straight, there is no official bar on the sportsperson for his commitment to society. |
