Hi,
Please give an idea about the modern techniques & accessories in the construction field.
Example: Slip form, Jump form methods in the wall construction
Couplers, screw connections, kwikastrips......
These are all the my Humble Sugesstion to You Sir.
1.You first study the Project throughly atleast fro 15 days before it Commence.
Programme to allocate the works as Below. Since the Technology has Improved & varity of Materials avilable
Choose the Manufacturers at the first Time it Self. For instant instead of Dumping all the works to One Sub Contrator, You can Bifurcate the works place the worksorder in advance
1. The Shell should be made with One Sub Contactor.
2. Doors & Windows can Be Ordered when the Building is in Plinth level itself.
3.Electrical & Plumbing to allotted to separate & Experience person You can also have an Agrement with the Electrical & Plumbing Contractors fro One Year free Manitanace for their works.
4.Waterproofing Treatment to be a seprate one.
5.Roads & Suurounding Improvement with a seprate agencies.
6.Colur washing & Painting with the reputed manufaturerrs since all the paint Comapnies are reeady to do the Job as per our Specifications .
This may help Us to carryout the works without any Hurdle & we can easily constrate on Each of the works with our schedule. The cost factor will deffinately Get adjusted with the proper Time schedule wher Your adminsitrative Cost involvement will be Lower. Thanks. K.Govindarajan
slipform is now old techniques, and is largly used in india , but climbing form is very rarely used (only in nuclear plant or cooling tower)and which can be used extensively for residential structure for 10 storey and above , but since the formwork is very costly(imported, else slipform in mnfg in india) and hence is used in 50 storey and above and yet not economical
Project management technique is a vital tool now-a-days in construction industry. For a project to be completed successfully well on time & with in the budgeted cost, a proper and realistic planning by an experienced person has to be done keeping all controlling factors in mind . A detailed project report (DPR) is prepared after collecting all possible data related to the project.
A work breakdown structure (WBS) is prepared accordingly to easily manage / control the status / progress /success of respective activities/ tasks. A network is prepared on the basis of interdependencies in logical way of various activities/ tasks. Time estimate is assigned to each activities/ tasks. A critical path is defined after identifying the critical activities/ tasks and scheduling is done. Now the critical path is identified and hence the project completion time is also defined.
Now the critical path is identified hence a special care should be taken in respect of critical activities on this path and an experienced person is to be deputed to handle these activities/ tasks . Accordingly resources has to be assigned to these activities and rest of all activities as well.
Now the resources on critical path has to be given a special attention as they have direct affect on the completion time of project. Now a days a number of modern materials are available to use depending upon the activities of the project or as the case may be.
There is no hard and fast rule for choosing a material for construction. It is the nature / need of our project that is the prime concern to choose the respective material depending upon the situation and the output.
The progress of the project is reviewed after a suitable or fixed interval as the case may be depending upon the nature of the project and if there is any need for rescheduling it should be done accordingly without affecting the total time of completion of the project.
In other words “ the time is money” There are many project management softwares to. track the project viz MS Project , Primavera etc. One can easily make the use of the same as per requirement of the project.
Hi Alagappan,
Modern Construction techniques constitute basically with the desired quality output & throughput with optimised costing & design & engineering.
When we speak of optimised costs & design engineering, we need to evaluate the cost of the technology or the technique vis a vis the cost of the entire project.
There has been a revolution in the Indian Construction scenario in the past decade & a half or so.
As a pioneering structural Design company in the designing & manufacturing of Aluminum Formwork systems in the country, i wud rather you visit my plant in Pune & I can actually demo the advantages of this system though the capex is on the higher side.
This construction method using Aluminum Formwork system is one of the most easiest in functionality, i.e. is shuttering & de-shuttering, giving the right finish, saving time, saving direct & indirect costs, avoiding any type of highly skilled manpower, semi-skilled is good enough to understand this usability.
This system gives you at least 200 repititions per block, thereby reducing the effect of shuttering cost per sq ft built up.
Alagappan I found some modern construction materials which I would like to share it with you.
