I am pursuing my MBA from ICFAI Gurgaon with specialization as Finance Major and Marketing Minor. My MBA is about to finish in a few months. I would like to ask about the scope of project management. The industry in which am offered with a job is events, and the position is Project Officer. I would like to know the scope and future prospects post MBA.
Thanks and Regards
Project management is a evergreen field which ever industry it is. It is tough & requires lot of planning, scheduling & management where you can grow really well. You need to be tactful, smart & initiator to get to the top. At the beginning, I guess you will be involved in Coordinate events, assist in the production of marketing collateral, & maintain information services and keep current with market trends will be few of your tasks. All the best & do well !!!
Project Management is a set of agreed upon knowledge that allow one to manage and communicate all the details, schedules, people, budgets, performance etc. After MBA its really very good option to do Project Management... it will help to equiped with latest terminology and methods of corporate world. If you do this from PMP than it will much better.

My MBA will be completed next month. And I can boast about the fact that there are not many lucrative finance jobs available in the market. Core finances attract CFA's and CA's not MBA's. If it was an year ago I could have commented that yes! MBA's... |
Thank you sir for guiding me. |
