dear friends..

i will start with a question "Are we performing our duties/responsibilities properly as a citizen of our country??"

the above qs includes lot of things..

there is a word mostly used..."CHALTA HAI".. my point here is that there are lot of things which people avoid and defy..

  • smoking is banned in public places(trains, parks etc..) but it's still in full swing....
  • helmet is necessary to travel...but in most of towns(except some) it's chalta hai,and if something happens we blame others
  • traffic signal breaking...and after being caught we offer incentives to our public servants
  • any protest on govt, people destroy property, buildings, vehicles
  • spitting, throwing wastage out while travelling,in public transport...is still a part of our country
  • speed limit for vehicles in towns and highways is 50kmph and 80 kmph and....u know about urself
  • zebra crossing is not available as it is most of time covered with vehicles
  • most of the time people want to stay away from various matters like crime, clashes, bribe, complaints etc..
well, these things are common in our country...so,don't u think we people are lagging in performing our duties??
there may be some points which you may not have realised but it's part of our society...  CHALTA HAI has become our part.
friends, i want your opinion on these things and also some add-ons on this topic. we being a part of our country should look forward for answers.

We are more concerned with our rights than our duties that is why these things happen. Citizen should follow the laws of the country when they enjoy their rights. But none takes it seriously. Either strict law enforcement should be there when they take their duties lightly

shavi , i believe ur question mark is definitely the same question mark every Indian has in his/her mind but wid the same chalta hai attitude n i m not excluding u n me in dis group.

every nation loving indain gets hurted wid such numerous issue but they find themselves helpless.

i dont think we can answer in a single post but u can post a debate on some of such important issues, which will be helpful,

if i m not wrong india has d biggest constitution in the world n it is very difficult for us to know our legal rights n responsibilty but as a human being we can understand some of our basic duties towards our society n our world.

we cannot blame anyone for all the issue u hv mentioned, to some extent not even d government.

i believe only by creating awareness we can overcome some of these issue.

the question mark is who will take the initiative, the best we can do is that either u ,me or any indian take d initiative. i hv not done anything for my country.

lets hope reading all such things, shayad koi toa jaagega.......

for a time being i can just say ..........   JAAGO INDIA JAAGO......

An average Indian citizen is unaware of his civic duties and irresponsible in rendering the same and ofcourse there are expectations. Most of the Indian citizens are more cautious about their rights.
