Reference: Niira Radia's communication with Barkha Dutt Vir Singavi
Looking at the prevailing situations, we couldn't ignore/hide our existing doubts that Media too is equally corrupt and very selective in disclosing vital information. The recent conversation between Ms Niira Radia and versatile journalists Ms Barkha Dutt & Mr Vir Sangvi, which is leaked and available on internet, reinforces the doubts already a we possess.
But, the most baffling thing is all national media houses (including Times Group, which otherwise leads in such matters) is immeasurably silent on the whole issue. The question here now arises is weather all are sailing the same boat and hence do not wish to speak/act on it responsibly. The issue let it die and was not taken up as breaking news for any discussion either on TV channels or in news papers.
Now it’s media's turn to come out clean & to raise the issue like any other and come out with clear and complete information. Every time media jumps on politician-bureaucrats-corporate nexus. Who will nail the wrong practices in journalism?
The silence of media speaking a lot permitting to raise doubts on its purity, ethics, transparency, etc.
