After project specification have been finalized, the developer can ask for advance payment. Next installment can be after prototype is ready and approved. Next installments can be in stages as the project moves module by module subject to satisfaction of the client. Final installment on completion of the project with integration of modules and sign off. In case the client opts for maintenance of the project, the final installment can be broken into 80 percent of final left over final installment and rest 20 percent following two or three months based on SLA.
