Dear ABAPER's,
One ALV Reporting going to short dump because of time out. There is some performances issue is there. Can any one tell me new method of coding for biggest data? The ALV is giving 6,000 recodes. The Recode size is around 8,000 then problem stars. Some told that there is some other method for solve this issue. I can not run this report in background.

Hi Dear,
Normally ALV's are used for displaying large amount of data..as u have said 8000 records .This is not an issue..but id there are lot number of columns and size of each column data is large then there can be sme issue. The best option is run the ALV in background..it will work fine..

I would be great if you could show me the code how you have done it.Might be I can answer once it see it.
As far as LAV are concerned it would never show a problem. As an ALV is binded to a Internal table altogether. I may however happen that the internal table has data more than 1 GB it would give you a dump.Otherwise recently we tested it to display arnd 30000 records.It displayed OK.
