59 hours of terror is over at Mumbai. But not at the peoples' heart I believe.

Section 49-O of the Constitution: Voting Rights, are we aware of this weapon against corrupt politicians?
Did
you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969
act, in section "49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth,
confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding
election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!
Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it. This is called "49-O".
Why should you go and say "I VOTE NOBODY"... because, in a ward, if a
candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received
"49-O" votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and
will have to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidature of the
contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling,
since people had already expressed their decision on them. This would
bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their
parties for election.. This would change the way, of our whole
political system... it is seemingly surprising why the election
commission has not revealed such a feature to the public....
Please spread this news to as many as you know... Seems to be a
wonderful weapon against corrupt parties in India... show your power,
expressing your desire not to vote for anybody, is even more powerful
than voting... so don't miss your chance. So either vote, or vote not
to vote (vote 49-O) and pass this info on...
"Please forward this mail to as many as possible, so that we, the
people of India , can really use this power to save our nation". Use
your voting right for a better INDIA .
Well done Mr. Raja for bringing this topic up and as Mr. ravi mentioned that if we feel that nobody deserves to come into power than we should excercise our right to vote not to vote according to section 49-0.
so if the public wants leaders to do something for them then they are the ones who needs to take the first step.

Terrorism is a kind of infectious disease, Just speaking about it alone will never bring the solution, we the society should join hand with greater dedication to fight against it. Every on should chant this as a mantra and work hard towards preventing such thing happen around us.
No Doubt any such kind of attacks in any form and degree is barbarian act.No Civilisation,Relgion, Culture endorses or promotes such acts/plots

This is the time to pray for the deceased souls and a time to remember the brave people who saved many. Some of those brave men are lucky to be alive today, othere were not so lucky.

Tackle the problem rather than analyse the situation;
Pakistan have known to be harboring terror camps for atleast a decade now, if India wanted to act like a super-power and eliminate camps they can do the same in 24 hours (we have the army, navy and air-force who are capable of carrying out Operation Clean Up Terror Camps in PoK and other parts of eastern pakistan).
So what stops our government, can someone answer this question.
Oh yes, its a nuclear state and we don't want to start a war in the region that will kill atleast a few million lives. So why was nothing done before Pakistan acquired nuclear weapons and whilst they were doing the same.
For the sake of every Indian, stop giving speeches for your next election and do something before end of 2008. If required, go start world war 3 ... India will come on top like Japan did after world war 2.
