As a HR professional one must know customers' mind and their rapidly changing needs and expectations then only he/she'll be able to Train the employees and then only he/she'll be able to identify and recruit right person to cater employees’ requirement. Here I have confusion, if this phenomenon is true then should a person spend his/her significant number of years of his/her career (Let say 5-8 years) in SALES and then should he/she enter into HR field? Or should he/she start career straight away from HR?

Sales is the first job in marketing or finance career. If we wants to gain an experience, we can go for a sales job. And even its good to work in an HR consultancy firm and gain the experience which will be a right way, if one wants to take the job as an HR professional.
