if you write and maintain your own personal technical blog should that be listed in your resume? Any reasons not to? Would this be of interest to potential employers or would they be indifferent? If you do include it, how and where would you mention it?
Very good idea. Your resume is your mirror or face in front of a recruiter or a company intending to avail your services. It is undoubteld that you need to make a brand of yourself to sell yourself better with the prospective recruiter. You can do alot of things to create that brand like an IIM degree, A world class training prog, a reference from a well known person etc.. Similarly your blog also can provide you better value. You can surely quote your blog on your resume. But think before you type in those, because your blog needs to be a genuine work of yours and should not contain any personal items which you need not disclose with the recruiter. If the Blog matter is really of good quality, the recruiter might get impressed on your technical knowledge/ urge to learn more. But I would suggest that you should ask a feedback from atleast 5-6 people regarding your blog before you post it in your resume.
All the best
