Spirituality is limiting or the opposite of tolerance develops in the minds the desire / need for increased learning the reality of another?
Spirituality goes beyond the realm of being REAL!
It connects you with the power within. A spiritual person is DEVOID of the worldly emotions of GREED, JEALOUSY, LOVE, ANGER, HATRED!! These are the most wasteful emotions that a man can engage into to destroy the life that he is leading! The old adage goes like this, "CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT!".
Spiritual powers lead a person to be more TOLERANT! Patience is a virtue that you earn and not learn! Tolerance teaches you patience and it just STRENGTHENS BELIEF! I hope that between me and Aditya we have been able to dissect the correct meaning!

One can never develop spiritual conciousness until he is tolerant. When Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared in Bengal in 15th century, he instructed his disciples,

kirtaniyah sada harih "

Spirituality as being preached recognizes presence of a supreme being and the energy level here is neutral. Tolerence recognizes presence of a person or activity which is negative and its treatment methodology is positive. If you look at christianity - forgiveness in the name of christ is the founding theme. Bhagavadgita preaches you to look at everything as neutral - you act and leave results to the supreme being. Islam also recognises presence of god but recognizs a prophet.
Overall, these guide a human being to achieve peace (some advocate for eternal peace but I would concentrate on peace of mind when a human is alive).
Peace of mind can be achieved not necessarily through spirituality and tolerence. I know I am making a statement that could be very easily challenged but we are in a modern world and need not be bogged down.

I did not understand the question. But in my opinion spirituality and tolerance goes together. The power of spiritualtiy is such a great that after certain level, you will be so great that you will tolerate anything. There is a short story. One fellow was cursing the gautam buddha (I may be wrong in name) and after cursing he left. Then follower of budha asked him why did not you stop him or replied. Budha told that whatever he was trying to give me (curses and bad words) i have not accepted. If some one is giving something and i'm not accepting then the words are still belong to the same person so actually he was not curing me but indirectly he was cursing himself.
Point here is that once you become spiritual then only you will have the power of tolerance and vice versa.
By the time you reach such a level of tolerance, you alerady known so much about the world and you not be any more curious about materialistic things in world and you will be focus for welfare of humanity!!!
Spirituality can never be limiting ... rather along with tolerance, it opens the door to limitless or infinite; Moreover it is the scientific temper, attitude or curiosity as told by aditya, which makes us want to know / learn more in general and the reality of another !
In other words, science leads us to the larger Truth / Reality and along the path of Spirituality, it not just makes us to know more but ultimately it leads to experience and realize the Higher Truths and the Infinite or the limitless ...
