I have worked with so many organizations (see my profile for details please, should you be interested), but easily my 12 years with United News of India in their New Delhi headquarters were most fun-filled. This was the time when I was on a learning curve. This was the time when every trip I went to was rewarding in terms of experience, learning and pleasure. I recall a Northern Railways trip to several cities of Rajasthan. This is by far the most fun-filled assignment for me.

Any product launch is full of work and fun for me. That keeps me going to run against deadlines and launch a product or a new store. Seeing it done successfully is all the more fun.

My first job. We were a group of around 20 chaps right out of college working on a project at a research institute. We played hard, worked harder, produced results. We produced several cutting edge and ahead of times concepts which are only in the recent 10-15 years seeing exploitation in Computers and IT. Some of the results, given the hindsight could have been patentable those days. Ignorance, the research atmosphere, and the fact that the work being done was supposed to be "secret" prevented it.

When I was in New Delhi working in a Private firm called Fixwell Cables Pvt Ltd at Mayapuri Industrial Area as Sales Executive for nearly 3 years from the year 1986. Here I had enjoyed the real fun in life as well as with all my colleagues including with my GM & Director Marketing. They were Very Nice people with helping tendency. During that time I had experienced a lot of food problem and language problem as I had been transferred from Chennai. It took nearly more than 6 months to get used to that environment. All my colleagues,  my GM brought south Indian food from their homes, why not my Director Marketing on more than two occasions brought veg. briyani from his house. I enjoyed a very good life in that company. Unfortunately, due to my family problem I was forced to move Tamil Nadu.

Thanks Mr.Shankar.
