Because they are no different from the Bachelors degree where the teacher taught and the student learnt by rote in the  classroom in a virtual world, info  they will never again use in their lives!!

An MBA needs to be a hands on,discovery process. It is the building of skill sets and not more crammed knowledge. It is application of knowledge.

I was at an educational fair in a famous college and I watched the students:amazing;they sat in little tight knit groups and went on in their little world.I didnt see many network, talk across groups or discover new areas to learn.Their energies were so slow and pathetic.Yet they were arrogant and snooty enough when spoken to.

And what a student learns is os far seperated from reality of the market it is astpunding.

Long way to go...

It has got to do with corporate organizations which is somewhat blaming MBA people for the recession like they are blaming them they didn't see it coming and blaming them for that matter, and now even there is something like MBAoath that is doing rounds which is done by the MBA students to restore the corporates faith in them, and it has also got do with recession as organizations are trying to manage with what they are having and they are not  looking new fresh recruitment for that matter....so B schools are not able to provide these placements.
