This error is assosiated with web.config file of .net when i am using ajax toolkit can anyone help me
Just delete the current web.config file and run the asp.net project it will ask to create new one
and that will solve your problem
I solved this error in a .net application and the answer came from http://atakala.com/browser/Item.aspx?user_id=amos&dict_id=1853

The first line of the web.config file was missing the xmlns definition in the configuration section. The correct text should read something like:
< ?xml version="1.0"?>
< configuration xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/.NetConfiguration/v2.0" >
not
< ?xml version="1.0"?>
< configuration >
Hey vishal,
In order to understand better, i would like to know some things.
Is your application hosted on any server or its in your local system?
The reason being is i also encountered this issue, but my application was hosted in a server.
The server didnt had ajax installed in it.
