Fire at Saravana Store
The recent fire at saravana store is lesson for others and Govt.authority. MMDA must take care for the building safety issue. Should have fire certificate for this type of Building.
Other countries has norms for Fire certificate.
Fire certificate require and need to renew annualy for the following types of Building.
Area above 5000 m2
Height above 25 mtrs or 9 storey
Company employ more than 1000 staffs
Dangerous /explosive works.

yes,the problem is implementation . building and fire safety requirements are overlooked and guilty are not taken to task.

Things are much worse in Sivakasi (where people work creating fire crackers). Basic problem is corruption
