Yes.As per ISO 14000:2004 it is also essential to control energy consumtion by continuous Energy Conservation.Govt. also should encourage industrialist acordingly.

The ISO 14001:2004 certification provide a framework for a holistic, strategic approach to the organization's environmental policy, plans and actions. It gives the generic requirements for an environmental management system. More over it provides guidelines on the elements of an environmental management system and its implementation, and discusses principal issues involved.
