What are different ways to conserve energy in Industries
save in lighting when lunch breaks and tea breaks
use of power factor capcitor banks
training of personals in production how to minimise changeovers
First step is to check your present state of operations. Get an Energy Audit done.
Train your people and make them aware about energy conservation and its benefits.
See what can be done to improve operating efficiency of different motors, compressors and other machinery.
1. Use of Capacitor Bank (to maintain power factor) should be implemented on strong way.
2. During off period of work like Lunch break and after office hours, individuals should take care of Putting Off the A.C, Light and other equipments which are on line without depending on the office boy to attend them.
3. Electrical items in Conference hall should be switched on just 10-15 min. before the meeting comences and should be switched off immediately the meeting finishes as lot of power is consumed there because of installations od AC, different type of dimming lights and projectors.
Yes i to agree with Kaustubh's view point that one should go for solar, as this is the most available form of energy and which is free, one should utilise it fully, and as Going Green is the trend, the industries and corporate houses lead themselves giving example by using such technology.
install solar powers for corporate offices, canteens, AC cabins,etc.(excluding work area)....initial installation cost will be higher but long term benefits are tooooo good.....
design the plant in such a manner that for most of the day time, sufficient day light enters the work area.....this will reduce the usage of lighting(illumination) and greatly reduce the power cost.....
