The temperature of the liquid steel coming out of an induction furnace is kept by the melter abouve 1600DegCto 1620DegC.This creats lot of energy consumption. As per the melters the height in which the mould are kept from the tundish is less ,The higher temperature is kept as it will givefuidity/fluid pressure for the metali to rise to up the mould top. I am not much covinced. Is there any method to improve the fluidity of the steel by addition of any thing in the liquid metal?
