The main HR Responsibilities can be divided into main two groups:

    * Strategic HR Responsibilities
    * Operational HR Responsibilities

The Strategic HR Responsibilities are directly connected to the business and HR Strategies. They are focused on the whole organization and the main customer of the strategic HR Responsibilities is the top management.

The strategic HR Responsibilities include mainly:

    * Strategic Workforce Planning
    * Organizational Design
    * Compensation and Benefits, mainly compensation strategy and cost management
    * Leadership Development
    * Performance Management

The operational HR Responsibilities are about providing services and consultancy to the managers at all the levels in the organization. The responsibility is not about just the delivery, but also about the quality of the HR process.

The operational HR Responsibilities are not less important than the strategic ones. Both of them are equally important as the strategic HR Responsibilities are trusted just in case, the operational ones are done properly and no complaints are heard from the managers.

The operational HR Responsibilities include following ones:

    * Recruitment
    * Career Development
    * Goal Setting Process
    * Training and Development
    * FTE Management
    * Personnel Administration

The HR Responsibilities are mainly about processes, policies, procedures and strategic initiatives. Human Resources cannot be responsible for the individual managers and their employees.

HRM means(I am giving it as a whole)

it is a process of Planning, Organizing, Directing & Controlling for the purpose of  budgeting, developing, compensating, integrating and separating the resources in an organisation for its smooth functioning.

Note: So many branches are been included into HR, according to the changes happening in the market. which could not be accomplished in a sentence. Thanks for giving me the oppurtunity.
