There are a lot of questions interviewer asks. But what are the questions that a candidate should ask and what are the things he should verify before accepting the offer.

Hi Anirban,
a very relevant question posted, I am waiting to see what are the different answers we have here, surely some of those I will be putting to my next Employer :)
I basically ask few of these (not all of course !! ) :
1. What do you expect from me? Actually if you are hiring me you must have some special
expectations from me.. and what's that?
2. How can I grow in you organisations ?
3. Do you have any variable pay option?
4. What are the different facilities you provide to your Employees?
5. Working schedule (5-6 days a week, work from home options, restricted work time etc.)

I agree with Aby... the HR will give you thousands of logic to sell the position to you... but will not give anything in written...... also one should not expect this from any HRD.....the best is to do a good research about the company and their future projects...so that you can plan... :)!!!

my dear frnds

I agree, its very good question for discussion, but irony of the fact is there is no thumb rule.

i have read few of answers as well, most of things cant be asked in interview.

you can do maximum research about a co from circle, website etc, but till the time you dont work in co for 3 months, you cant know about a co.

its not wise to ask any specific question, even if they say yes or no, they can change their stance any day.

all this is a formality sake.

Good one,

Look at the profile of the company and ask....

do you really need me?

Do you have any expansion / diversification plans?

What's the potential?

Can you sustain the market pressure?

and Work timings, if you are not comfortable working for 24 hours..

May sound absurd but very important in these days of recession when there are chances you will be kicked out or asked to work on low wages.

Brilliant question Anirban...Its all depend on perticular segment. Some questions which i had asked from my employer after interview:

  • Company goal and value.
  • Short term, mid term and long term plan.
  • Organization structure.
  • Available services for customers.
