Hello Members,

We all know that after rejection, it's all about doubting on our own whether not skilled as much, not qualified or so on ( Always negative marks) but I think,
There are three mismatch due to one gets rejected
1- Wrong analysis- One should go for research first before admitting in any interview so that He/she can attempt any question with sourceful knowledge.

2- Miscommunication: It doesn't matter, What is your knowledge level, Past experience & more but it's about your intraction during the interview that matters.

3- Offcourse Employer or Hiring manager's abilities: it's not your fault anyhow. It's Hiring people's responsibility to choose or shortlist according to their requirement, skills & exp.
What is the reason to say that..You are overqualified ??
Didn't you check the profile before shortlisting or calling for an interview ?

Besides all the above points expressed by my too step friends ,i feel their communication of the facts and perceptions is the main cause for their selection or rejection.more so in English than other languages what is expected from many .

For an Objective selection of candidates, this tips may be useful. Most of the time, we find in corporate world, they look for predetermined candidates (may be a flanky of boss, owners etc.)

I completely agree with Mr. Muralidharan except for his point (a).  Is this really happens in the present  Corporate world.  

Yes, there can be thousand reasons to reject.  Even there need not be a valid reason for rejecting.  Being the employer he can say anything to reject a candidate. But, the credibility of the organisation may gone to dust.

Some of the failures can be attributed to (a) improper dress sense (b) lack of knowledge of the required field (c) inability to coomunicate effectively etc. A positive and constructive outlook will help reduce the rejection possibility to a greater extent.

The reason for rejection could be other way around also - (a) If the person interviewing has already decided on his favourite candidate; (b) asking wrong questions, breaking the emotional equilibrium of an interviewee; (c) interviewer failing to catch the significance of the finer points, if the interviewee came up with the choreographed answers.  

We can assign thousand reasons to reject a candidate.  The major reason could be mis-match of demand and supply!
