Yes, There is no specific material for green building construction. 1.It is aconcept to minimise the use of energy & keep the building functional by using renewable energy.

2.Design a building in such away that its functionality shall depend on natural resources,i.e. sun light, recycling of waste water, materials used shall minimum adversely  affects the environment during their manufacturing & use.

3.Building shall be planned to take maximum benefit of sun light.Every corner of the building shall be lighted with the sunlight.

Above points listed by Mr. Charles Davison  are well related to the concept of the Green homes. He is right as there are no specific  materials to be used exclusively for construction of the Green House . Any material / technology being used for general construction is to  be adopted for green Homes or vice versa .

There are no spl materials as green materials. Here are some tips

You can try to use materials that , in the process of their making do not/have not contributed to global warming.

The way you build should be to minimise the unnecssary use of materials ,construct it in a way that will help the building use less energy

Design and construct in such a way to use renewable energy hwerever possible

|design and construct to use rain water by harvesting

Use very less or nil materials that denudes forest.

Design in such a way that maximum light and ventilation in the right area at right time and right climate finds its way.

Use materials that will not absorb heat.

Use materials/fittings that will minimise use of precious water.

Recycle water for gardening etc

Use biogas technology to recycle kitchen waste

Cook judiciously ,use less of refrigerator

minimise architectural features that have no functional value.

Make it small and liveble

Please plant trees around . it keeps the surroundings cool and gives loads of oxygen

Inhabitants to always bear in mind that every day living/maintainence should contribute to green...it is a continous commitment..
