What are your thoughts about Project Management professional certification?
Will it make you a better Project Manager ?
PMP is a very accredited and globally recognized for exhibiting and proving your inclination, grip and capability to implement PM processes in your day to day Project Management Duties.
Above all attaining PMP Credential is a Morale BOOSTER and you gain CONFIDENCE in applying your PROJECT MANAGEMENT Skills at your WORK...!!!
PMP tests individuals on the information contained in the PMBOK. Having a PMP certificate means you have knowledge about the PMBO. Project Manger should be able to put hthis theorical methodology to working methodology by using appropraite tool.
The PMP certification cannot guarantee the a project manager is competent, if he an experience, then he can apply this methodology to their work.
If a project manager can apply this to his work then he can become a better manager, but he have to posses other skills too...
Pursuing the PMP certification may allow you to fill gaps in your knowledge.
Getting a PMP certification will not make you a better project manager, its the skills you posses will make you a better Project Manager. His decision making skills, communication, leadership etc will define your success as a Project Manager.
If you have already had significant project management experience, I would recommend that you pursue that certification instead.
