I am working with an IT company, and i would like to know in your opinion what is the best way for lead generation?

I think there is no standardised method that can be called the best way for a lead generation. I believe doing some kind of secondary research and knowing the reasons for which the prospect is looking for a solution should enable you to approach and pitch your offerings accordingly.

 Later Cold calls is the method most organizations use, because we get a chance to speak and appeal better to the prospect. Some companies invite prospects at a common gathering and present their capabilities and showcase what they can do for  the prospects.

Typically, cold calling is the most effective method. Even if there were a lead generated, by any other mechanism, finally, you need to have a conversation.

I recommend a combination of email & tele-calling. However, qualifying a lead requires skills.

Well, when you said about lead generation. It's not clear in your question.. is it over phone or direct customer interaction? But in any case lead generation i would like to take it in a different view and something practical.

I would call this as "Usename Strategy" - you can't find this principle anywhere/book , coined by me.

I have done and practised many tactics for reaching customer and generating opportunities. But the first stubbling block is to reach the right person otherwise the whole excercise will go for a task.

Instance, call any customer basically a functional department like quality, finance, admin and ask for the right person in the respective department. Try this for sometime, you will definetely get the right person and from there you can take forward. refer their name in the discussion, which will agian give the strong bridge between you and the customer.

More the name you use in your call, more the way you stregthen your pipeline. Seems to be so wague, but try it ones, it works and so powerful.....

In the current scenarion it is difficult to say if there is any definite way/method of lead generation. This is because of the highly competitive nature of the market in any particular segment. Though there are number of sales/marketing tools, but difficult to say if any one of them in particular will be surely effective. Cold calling which involves direct interaction provides a better space to convey your message. But the question is what is the hit ratio? How frequently one gets to talk to the right person, assuming you got the right person how many will consent for second level of talk and so on. One may think of email campaign, chances are there prospect may delete the email before reading it no matter how catchy the subject line is. Good referrals work, but how frequently they fall into one’s basket. What is important is strategic use of sales and marketing tools; this demands proper understanding of the target segment for your product offerings.

The best way of Lead generation is email campaign followed by cold calling. To highlight more on this, once we decide the target, we do the research on the kind of company, revenues, vetical they are into, products/services they sell and whether it is relevant to our business. Once we decide that they can be benefited by our offerings then the important part will be to find the right contacts. After having a research and idea on the profile of the contacts, customize your email message so that we grasp his attention on the first attempt. From subject line to the body of the email it should be interactive wherein we are also selling our services and also making him aware of his needs if not presently sometime in the future requesting for a time to call/meet. If the time is set-up you move to the next round of sales cycle if not then can do a follow-up email or cold calling and remind him the relevancy of the call. This leads to quality time and quality business.

I prefer email campaign as you send the right information in your wordings and he can save your email in one of his folders but when it comes to cold calling this might be at a back stage. Moreover it doesnot require a regular shift process if your target market is on other countries.

It is one million question.Do they the generation seek leader for following ? Why they will do so? Pondering on such query, One will find that find himself/herself in dismay.THE SOCIETY turning in to fregments.Socio-economical conditions are changing so rapidly that hardly any stategy can be made to address execution part. Further it will be turned into null&void.As such question is invalid &with flows.We had hardly poused to give second thought.It must be contex based,occasion dependant & circumstance releted

One of the best ways for lead generation in today's mobilised world could be using SMS short code like 56070 provided by us.

Any sales person would try calling the prospect on mobile rather than landline to save time, also mobile nos make the best database format for direct follow-ups.

Any org can advertise its products/services/brandname just by having a keyword on short code & promoting is through various mediums. Whomsoever would be interested shall send a small SMS with the keyword to the short code which means only relevant & refined leads for you to be closed or followed-up, this eventually helps in targeting the right client rather than masses spending lot of money.

"The leaders are born" - is true but not completely. Your view and way thinking and doing the things can make you a leader. This is not necessary that all the time you are positive. Negative is too very necessary as positive is. Because without negative you cant think positive. If you want to lead some one - so the best way is to understand the person is to know him or her.

What he think, how he think every way. Make your self able to read the eyes. As this is the quality who tells everything what someone have in his mind & heart. Becoming a leader is not so hard but satisfying others need at every stage as leader is not easy. So develope your self for that.
