It may partly depend on the sort of business.
Considering that CFO would normally be fully responsible for accounts payable and receivable, and at a higher level cash flow control, they have critical roles in the supply chain.
With that in mind, they seldom have controlling responsibility for production, sales projection and closure which need to be part of the regulation in the need for supply
