First selling of education for money should be stoped.... Second thing is there should be no extra fees collected from students other than tution fees..Third right of equality for everyone, whether its an labourers child or a high class persons child...Third is to expose children to the world by giving them a practical experience..
I think so much need to be done and it should all start with our schooling - the aim should be to inculcate innovative ideas and creativity in the young minds- We should do away the conventional way of teaching and do away with subjects like civics/history etc which has no value in today's economy for the simplest reason that there is no relevance to what is printed in the books and the 'reality'!!!
There is no point in talking of Nehru/Gandhi etc etc when there is hardly anything done by our governments to emulate their ideals and the goals for which they stood-There is no point in learning about Akbar/TipuSultan or Shivaji when none of their 'creations' for manhood are available in this country!!!!!
The emphasis should be to drive away the fear of examination and work out ways to instill confidence on abilities into the young minds-Mathematics and Science can be fun if it is taught in the right way.
When changes in education and teaching patterns are being done, the aim should be that it should reach all sections of our society and not limit to a fewer people-After all there can still be a scientist in a remote village who might have lost his or her way due to lack of facilities and opportunity.
When the government is wasting unlimited monetary and other resources into meaningless spending it can well do to modernize education without adding burden on the parents.
More importantly the teaching faculty must be strengthened by providing them all resources and facilities to upgrade themselves which can greatly help in improving teaching.
After all politicians dole out 'freebies' to all other government departments which are unproductive-So why not to the teaching faculty??????
The written examination system with a eye on marks should be done away with-While languages have their own impact on the growth of children-Grammer must be given utmost importance.
Creating interest in traditional values/music/drama etc can broaden the children's ability and help to create healthy minds which will go a long way in changing their attitudes towards studies.

I belong to the 2nd category... |
People and organizations think and feel low not because of the dismal circumstances they are in; but because they think and feel low. The most powerful but least understood tool we possess is positive thinking. Don't work against anything. For... |
