I just read a tweet by Mr.Vijay Mallya saying "Good balanced and pragmatic budget announced by FM"

Though I am not a great analyzer but still it din't look a balanced budget to me. However I have started believing that every year we have a budget to know how much more money are we suppose to shell out.

What are your thoughts on budget 2012?

Overview of the budget is nothing new, what is the plan on Infra, Power, Agriculture and on top of what has happened to the BLACK MONEY stashed abroad?

Wish they would have given guidance on the TAx structure like bringing in GST across India, informing the state collects an x amount they get % of that as their revenue.

Am sure Congress has kept all the SOPS for next year, when they prepare themselves for the GENERAL ELECTION for 2014.

It's all about how the budget is managed.

Farmer is more interested to sell off land, rather than face continued loss.

Industrialists are preferring imported product-marketing, instead of production thanks to endless wait for power, poor roads, varying rules and unending hassles with labor,

Builders are escalating prices, making house non-affordable for honest man,

Middlemen and fifers are ruling markets. Raw material is being exported and finished goods imported. Economy is surviving on IT- or creamy brain drain and the repetitive no brain activities.Developing

Better governance, systems improvement or infrastructure development is no one's business.

Tolling existing roads and taxiing all & sundry activity solely to increase salary and perks for nonperforming sections, planners and their subordinates is the only activity that can be attributed as budget.

budget is ok....govt is trying to manage the financial condition of the country and try to bring some reserves for the coming year because the next budget will be a election budget,in which the govt try to damage control its image among the voters.

Nothing special in this budget, except some additions and subtractions.   Its nothing more than a financial statement of a company.   R & D has given a back seat as usual.    No impressive allocations for infrastructure development.  Allocations for Education and related are also not impressive.  Subsidies are eating out the major chunk of budget allocations, though they are failing to reach the target line.  Budget has neither vision, nor direction. Its a routine one.

This budget was very similar to the last one i.e making fool of people.Just to show that that tax slab 8 - 10 lac has been reduced to 20% and in return made a hike in all indirect taxes and service taxes.Like service tax increased from 10 to 12%.Service tax on railway ticket, service tax on freight rate which will be paid indirectly by people. The govt never thought of increasing the medial allowance which is only 15k per year from last so many years. The subsidy on diesel reduced form 2.4% to 2 % which return a pressure on general public.

Budget is a matter of collecting data on profit and loss, especially on calculating financial deficiency. The main purpose of budgeting is to improve the basic needs of a common man.The present budget not helps the middle class people to improve, because of hike in rail tickets affects every person of a country and present Govt is inducing everybody as a tax paying person.I thing so 40% of our population taking liquors why can't we raise the taxes for these commodities....

It is not a good budget. Taking from lower & middle class and giving to higher class. 2000 Income Tax benefit for 2lac earnings and 22000 for 10lac earnings. A good government do not increases tax but focus on reducing misuse of funds. Good words used by Venkaiah Naidu:
This govt takes one step forward, three steps backward and situation is awkward.
The left hand proposes, right hand opposes and the mind disposes.

PLAIN VANILLA BUDGET.

VERY LESS BENEFITS TO COMMON MAN EXCEPT TAX EXEMPTION LIMIT RAISED MARGINALLY AND STT REDUCTION BY 20%

RAJIV GANDHI EQUITY INVESMENT SCHEME IS A RISKY PROPOSITION. COMMON MAN IS BEING ENCOURAGED TO INVEST IN EQUITY MARKET BY GIVING TAX EXEMPTIONS.

BENEFITS OFFERED IN FORM OF TAX BENEFITS ARE BEING TAKEN BACK IN FORM OF INCREASE IN ST AND ED.

COMPANIES IN THE FIELD OF IRRIGATION,AVIATION,CIGERETTE,REAL ESTATE,SHARE BROKING AND OIL AND GAS ARE BEING BENEFITTED TO A GREAT EXTENT AS COMPARED TO COMMON MAN.
