In honor of Father's Day this coming Sunday, I thought it'd be nice to share the lessons we've learned from our dads. Both professional and personal!

Over the years, not only has my dad taught me about the value of education, of celebrating life's small joys, and of sunscreen's vital importance, what sticks out most is how my dad has supported me throughout everything I've ever done ,Because of his constant support and amazing parenting, he modeled for me what i am today....

How has your father influenced you?

Varsha my dad taught me a lot of things as a teenager but sad to say I did not live under his protection since the age of 16. He was a disciplinarian but yet very humorous person. He was living in the USA(Florida) for many years and only returned to my country three years ago but sad to say he died 2 years back a few days after father's day. It was something I will not forget for a long time because I did not visit my father nor did I call him on father's day. His death has left me an emotional scar.

My father is responsible for me being a cricket fanatic...follow the game since I was 12 years old. His best team was the Indian team he never supported the West Indies team.

My father was very proud of his children..they were his riches.May his soul rest in peace.

Happy fathers day to all the fathers at Toostep and all fathers around the world.

I remember my father almost every day because I feel fathers leave a part of their personality in us through which we always relate to them. When i joined my job at the young age of 20 in a public sector ,I asked him for any advise which i should always keep in mind as a professional. He being himself a veteran manager in a public sector told me something which I have always heeded  in life ,he mentioned 'Good or bad always take a timely decision.A bad decision is better than no decision'.I  think I have been a good manager partly  because I have always followed that advise of a great manager.

I miss him terribly as I lost him very early in my life. Its more than three decades now. He is a very live memory still but yes I am very much what my dad taught me to be!

Thanks for the referral Ms. Kaladeen.

Dad taught me about integrity, commitment (especially to one's family), loyalty (worked for one company from college internship to retirement), and being responsible for one's actions

He taught me to try always to be better in whatever I was doing. He taught me that I have to fight for my goals and ideas no matter how hard it is. He always said that it is enough to really believe in my dreams and I will certainly have the power to fight for them. He also taught me to go on even I might not suceed in first hand. He taught me to respect every opinion of my co-workers, not to underestimate anybody, to argue with co-workers only when I am sure enough on my position. He always spoke to me about respect, loyalty, friendship and commitment. He believed one should work for one, two companies at most and that this work should be done from heart and dedication. Growing with him by my side I learnt that nothing is impossible, because I am who I am and there will be always some luck and somebody to look after me. Even tough he had been trough very hard times, he never left the impression he could'n handle it. And I really respect him for all these.

thanks dad
