I would like to know the role and responsibilities of PMO. Also I want to know what it means to upport to PMO.
PMO is a body that enforces governance during project execution. PMO is supposed to ensure that processes are defined and then followed during execution. Typically the items where deliverables have to be defined are:
- Deliverables for each phase of a project
- Communication plan
- Project Statusing (Items and frequency)
- Escalation procedures
- SLAs for project issue resolutions
- Risk & Issue Management
List is a bit longer than this but the above items should provide you a good idea on what type of things PMO oversees.
Hope this helps.
The Project Management Office (PMO) is the department or group that defines and maintains the standards and processes related to project management within an organisation. It prioritize project in terms of an organization’s overall governance, project portfolio processes and ensure the project links to a company’s strategic goals
Hello
Just to summarize the function PMO- the name itself suggests that the Project Management Office holds the project together. Its more a significant function for a multi-faceted project, where you may have different core project functions working for different phases of the project or program at different levels and various locations, all working towards one goal- " The ultimate project completion within prescribed time and quality". Its the PMO which brings all these together acting as a strong mediator between the top management and the core team working towards the program.

Before you say anything about it, consider yourself in the position of the child. How people may talk to you, how people may react towards you. |
It makes a difference how you talk about autism.Don't treat Autism as a disorder or disease while you speak to other people. Listen to how you hear other people speak about autism, and to what you yourself are saying. |
