What sholud be the cost of constructing 1KM of road with
a) RCC ROAD
b) Bitumeous road
including excavation, filling, dressing, topping, reinforcement etc. all complete.
Could anyone please tell me what is the approximate construction cost of base layer and bituminous layer for a stretch of 1 km road in India? I would highly appreciate if anyone can post a break-up of the price for raw materials, gravel, aggregate, machines and tools and labor.
It will be 70 - 90 Lacs / Km,
Well it depends upon purely Trffic load condition,ground condition, geological stratas, topographical situations,resource availability etc. Thus it is impossible to say any cost. It may range from 5 lacs to 5 crores per Km.
For flexible pavement it is avg. approx 7 crores per km and for rigid pavement it is aprrox 11 crores per km. This includes everything, structures also.
But this is just a thumb rule.
