There are live animal experiments authorized and around the world, animals are used as objects of experiments, to test a variety of products. The product range is as diverse as skin creams and shampoos to cancer prevention drugs and vaccines.
It is disgusting to note that less than 2% of all human illnesses are on record in the animal kingdom, and yet we use them to find cures to self inflicted illnesses that have been invited upon us with unhealthy and re-structured living and eating habits.
It is interesting to note that 83% of substances are metabolized differently by animals and humans. Most medical experts agree that data from animal tests cannot be extrapolated safely to human patients.
These tests have serious impacts on animals...
Can you all share what are those impacts so that we can make peole aware of it..
We can use bioinformatics protocols or in-silico techniques to minimize the animal testing. Yes, I know at every place its not an easy idea to apply but its not impossible...!!!
Animal testing can have many different effects on an animal depending on the species, but these are the most common:
1. Loss of life
2. Impared hearing or other senses or complete loss of them
3. Impared movement
4. May cause the animal not able to reproduce which may lead to extinction if the animal is already endangered
5. disfigurement of body or parts of the body.
All around not a good idea. Please dont engage in this type of activity, its illegal and cruel. SAVE ANIMALS SHOW SYMPATHY
it destroys the general eco system the experiments must be in such a way that they won't destroy the habitat
In vitro technology and testing is only the option where less animals will be affected.
