What is the hardest part in software testing?
Is it finding the bugs? Communication with developer? or Closing the work without full satisfaction?
Please add your ideas as well.
Product verification.....closing the work without full satisfaction....debugging during testing and validation of the software is easy because we have certain idea from requirement and scope...but process people are expert in their domain and wish to use the software for their easiness..they know the exact requirement of the process and have certain way of working... number of users have number of inputs and way of analysis and working...to meet this requirement is quite difficult hence normally we close the work without full satisfaction of the end user...
I feel that the hardest part in software testing is proper documentation that exactly tells the management the process followed in testing and how bugs are being reported. Whenever the bugs are being reported at user's side the testers are usually blamed for ... But the actual reason could be that the bug would not be at the time of testing and popped out at the production stage. This however need to explained by testing team by the terms of proper documentation that says the features tested and not tested and build release etc... Sometimes testers miss out these things and land up in trouble sometimes. Other than this, testing the product at the user point of view and ceritification of a product is a hardest part. Because the during the certification, all the aspects of procuct behaviour need to be covered and tested.

I agree with Mr. Nithin. Product verification is the toughest part in software testing. In this, the tester has to overall check each and every bit of the software which has been made. There is a very possibility of missing any fault if proper check has not been done which later, may lead to flaws in the software...
