Eventhough VAT is introduced as unique for all states, states implimented it with necessary modifications as there own, but then it cannot be disputed that the Value Added Tax Act of all states are unique to the extent possible, states has got their own rules and schedules depicting various items rate wise, rates are not qnique for all states, they are following diffrent rates for same product.
