I usually convert "cold' responses to "partner" -response: i.e. the customer/client never remain cold with the company. That is how successful marketing work. It is what we call today "Permission Marketing"

 

A customer is always analyzing whether to purchase or not with all jinds of imaginary reasons. You can successfully make him fall for your product or service if you UNDERSTAND his basic need with your product or service in question.

The customers are the king and one has to dance according to their tune. So it would be my pleasure to attend the call immediately. I will ensure that their requirements are met based on the meeting and discussion. To cater certain requirements will take some time and which will be informed to them. Here the customer would be delighted and this would facilitate next calls for their requirements. Sales is art of persuation. 

It may please be noted that a sales or marketing man should be able to sell himself first, then only he will be able to sell or market his products. Decent behaviour and capaity to listen them are very important. One should ensure that cutomers should not be cricised during the course of meeting, besides one should convey the intention is to serve them at all times.

Naturally all the above will involve frequent interaction and follow-up and this perseverance will lead to success in getting business from the customers. The frequent visit of customers and interaction will make them to remember.
