Hi Shavi good question but difficult to express. I help beggars who are really not able to do anything and physically challenged, but there are people who feel lazy to work and beg. I hate such kind of people and even shout at their face when they ask me something.

Hi dibyajit even I feel the same. I don't like encouraging beggar. According to me we are making them lazy by helping. It not that we should not help, we can but for people who are really helpless and cannot do anything.

Thanks for sharing....

Well, whenever and wherever i see begger i feel very bad,but many times i doubt whether they are realy needy people.and if i see needy people i definitely help them.

even i have found that many beggers after getting money they utilize it for drinks or cigarettes ,tobacco etc inspite of meals,so seeing that i thinks it's just a waste of money.so i avoid such beggers at times

If it is child or oldman or old woman or handicapped  they are eligible for help. Encouraging other kind of beggars is spoiling them.

Instead we should encourage people who sell groundnuts, small time hawkers by purchasing 1 or 2 or3 or5 rupees or more, because in spite of their meagre earnings they not resorting to begging and they are trying to lead their in dignified manner.

It depends....if an old lady or small kids comes to you then there is no harm giving them the money or food. But helping other people who are in  young age is waste of time and money. In someway, we're encouraging them to do this which is not correct......
