Hi all,

When I typed TOOSTEP and search in the knowldege item, I got some very interesting knowledge items where people are discussing about

What two things you don't like about "TooStep"?

Top two thing you like most about "TooStep"?

Negative Votes or Thumbs down should not be done on toostep?

Should a global language be used for sharing knowledge on TOOSTEP?

Is it going to be a good idea if toostep arranges meeting of i's members once a year or twice a yer

TooStep Meet: Which Location & date do we choose?

I visited and I saw people have given some suggestions how to improve, what should be there in this platform, what should not be present etc.

Suddenly an idea came to my mind, So i am expressing here. This idea came to me when I was reading the article of MR. Sujit :Why many toostep members donot have any linkedin account

I have Linkedin id (I do not use so frequently). I saw there is a option for EVENTS there. So I thought why should not be an EVENT button here at toostep.

We people are planning for an meeting of toostep users. So i thought if there is a option for event where we can give our view or discuss separately for that, I think It will help more. Why should use knowledge field for that. Because knowldge field is only to discuss about knoldge items not events.

What do you people think about this and what more toostep can do to increase its customer (users)?? What more features you people want to see in this platform (except Chatting ,because it is the common answer I may get :) ?)

How about trying a different business model? Since Too Step has a team of experts in different fields why not offer on line consultancy in various disciplines. Charge customers who need to become members for availing the services. Distribute the proceeds to the experts who are providing the consultancy services.

You are free to give your suggestion, as it is for the people, of the people & by the people.

Hi,

I think it has to go beyond just writing and asking!! It has to start with the platform moderators and owners. They have to monitor thw How? and What? I mean we have suggestions and we have ideas, but the need to see those to fruition has to lie with the platform owners. They have to realise what can be done to turn this into success platform. They have the database of people who have the ability to ask the right questions, they have the people who have the ideas to create and reply, they have the database of people who are sought sfter by others!!

Simply put, our ideas have to be met with their aspirations and ambitions of what they want the platform to be!!!!

Mr. Swamy I will appreciate if you just concentrate on your contributions to Toostep and ignore my comments. It seems as though you like some others are closely following up every comment I write. I have my reasons for doing so and until members here understand how I feel of recent, I am going to have my say when the occasion arises. Further a debate is not about writing a comment and leaving it. It must be followed up. If an answer is not appropriate it must be known just like how you did not like mine and  you rate it thumbs down.

If I am your good friend as you mentioned then please don't let me start feeling like an outsider. I hope you realise that I am not one of your Indian counterparts but live on the other side of the World. Sorry if my mentality is not that of the Indian standard.

I am just a practical person. When I am being criticised I like to know the reason why. Further I can't stick nonsense and have people make a fool of me,especially since they have no knowledge who I be. I am not here to be in a popularity contest but just to share my views and knowledge. I too like you am not seeking any benefits through Toostep. I am gainfully employed and live a comfortable life in my country.

Thanks for whatever support you have given me to date.

If drawings and sketches can be displayed then Toostep can help in solving specific problems. Presently the technical questions are too general and the answer seldom find any application.

This has to be made a paid service or not can be decided by the members.

it's almost 4 month i am sharing my view with different experts . i believe i am improving my skills with their valuable articles and their responses which i am getting foe my articles or on Q & A's . toostep is a great platform to share our experiences and problems with others.

And "what TOOSTEP can do " i think its good question to ask but we can not expect all sudden changes in toostep very soon because every body needs time to change and offer new features.

And other thing which i would like to share here we dont need to get panic if somebody is criticize us for our comments or any post . But need to take it on a positive nod and try to analyze why we get this negtive feedback for that particular comment or post.and should try to improvize next time.

let me know if you dont agree with my views

criticism is most welcome

Even though I see more students now who are very welcome because association with Professionals can improve their skills level but I see many of them switching from one topic  to other, without giving any idea what their specialization is or what their objective is in interacting with professionals

I agree with Devi and others. But again all the social networking sites around us for PErsonal/Profesional have developed over a period of time. TooStep to is one of them, each one has it unique strength and weakness. I feel it is up to each member whether they like to be part of other networking group. Everyone of us wants to learn/improve/progress in career, knowledge, business, hobbies, awarness, etc...And for that we like to be part of many networking groups.

Again if we start adding what Linkedin, others... has then my concern is "TooStep" should not lose it uniqueneess (it should not be replicate of other sites...). To be frank I was pulled in to be part of TooStep due to it uniquenees which was missing in other forums.

Again the sucess of the "TooStep" depends on its member that us.

Firstly I would appreciate if you will make a contribution to all the topic you highlighted so that we can get your views.

Secondly I also would like to hear your comments on Mr. Sujit's debate 'Why many toostep members do not have any linkedin account'. This has been the most irrelevant topic debated at Toostep for the past seven(7) months that I have been a member on this site. How can you be a member of a professional/social website and question why members here don't have an account at another website and then trying to establish a position that maybe members are using fake IDs.

"I saw there is a option for EVENTS there(LinkedIn). So I thought why should not be an EVENT button here at toostep".....you should make this suggestion to the Management of Toostep.

I am still wondering if the "Toostep meet" is still on or if it has died a sudden death. I think you can follow up on this.

Toostep has opened it's door to anyone and recently I notice a number of Students has joined. Initially when I joined it was meant only for professionals. Is this not a big friendly gesture by Toostep?

I think Toostep should have a button to click on to separate the good and active members from the ones who join just to criticise and annoy long standing members.
