Hello Collegues Do any of you know our IBM India's new Corporate Hierarchy in SAP/Software Consulting. Ex - Band 5, Band 6A,6B,6C,6D etc., What is the Entry Level Band and the Highest Level Band? Is the Band system same across domain like SAP, Testing, Java, etc.,?
i am ex-employee of IBM. The band structure is based on the experience while you joining IBM. If you are fresher , you will get Band 5 or upto 5 yrs exp then the band is 6. if you have good negiociation skill in 5 yrs to 7 yrs , you will get band 7 otherwise band 6 only. 8 yr onwards band 8 with project leader or project manager experience
as a 3 years experienced cognos professional, how much i can expect from IBM in the current market scenario???

please any one tell is this is a right level to accept..

I have just received an offer from IBM. i am 4 + exp and they gave me 6A band. is this ok. and how much salary should range here. i m in 6.5 level of now and IBM has not offered much to me.2.
They have recruited me in bangalore, so just want to know if there are any onsite opportunity i can get. i m DWH and cognos expert.

I work one of the resource partners for IBM.
Any developer IT developer (other than Support Roles) starts with Band 6, and as your value to company is more you raise in the ladder.. Band 7 is usually for a professional who is/ has team leadership skills and can handle independently responsibility, also who is a stone throw away from being a Project manager. Band 8 and above are positions where in you might be a Sr PM or a Program Manager.
