Though networking sites have the potential to be used as tools for job search you generally think of it as a space where you unwind with friends/family and therefore would not want to mix pleasure with business. Atleast till people feel more comfortable talking business on networking sites job portals & head hunting would remain more effective tools for job search. But as a medium networking sites are an excellent and dynamic tool especially from a recruiter's perspective.
