The goal of lean manufacturing is to eliminate wastes at manufacturing sector and service sector like.

1) Overproduction : Manufacturing items for which there are no orders, Printing paperwork, purchasing items before they are needed; processing paperwork before the next person is ready for it.

2) Complexity : More parts, process steps, or time than necessary to meet customer needs, Re-entry of data, extra copies, excessive reporting, etc...

3) inventory : Excess raw material, Work in progress, or finished goods, Office supplies, sales literature, and reports.

4) Waiting : Stock-outs, lot processing delays, equipment downtime, capacity bottlenecks System downtime, response time, approvals.

5) Transportation : Transporting work-in-process long distances, trucking to and from an off-site storage facility, Multiple sites outside of walking distance, Off-site training.

6) Defects : Scrap, rework, replacement production, inspection, Order entry, design, or engineering errors.

7) Underutilized people : Lost time, ideas, skills, improvements, and suggestions from employees,Limited tools or authority available to employees to carry-out basic tasks

I don't think that. We have examples like Ratan TATA who develops the whole area where he sets up any of his factories and even gives pensions to its employees. Also takes care of their families. Aren't they true nationalists?
