following are the major bottlenecks in compleion of a bridge project:-
1. Land acquisition if required
2. Sub-soil investigation
3. site development including General site accomodation for staff
4. procurement of material well in advance so that construction do not suffer for want of material
5. procurement of Prestressing material if required , should be specially taken care of
6. Arrangemnt of spare parts required in general should be made to reduce idle machiney time
7. Skilled labour should be well paid off and paid in time to retain them with the company as it costs only about 25-30% of the total project cost .
8. Last but not the least, prepare a datewise programme (CPM )and follow the programme accordingly .The critical path should have a close watch.
