What technologies will be fundamental in creating the factories of tomorrow?

Environmentally friendly sustainable technologies with Features which demand the customer user-friendliness and safe working environment. 

manufacturing techniques with automations in each & every process to get the quality product.

By given proper training to the work force to get good output. we have to think safety also in technology upgradation.  

 ability to measure n control manufactureing with more n more precisionness,has changed the technology in past decades, we used to measure things in mm then one tenth of mm then one hundrenth then one thousandth of mm[ millimeter] as the ability to measure physical or chemical or nuclear or biological quantities improved...manufactureing changed with same speed, metrology[[ science to measure quantities

The technologies of the factories of tomorrow will be based on high productivity, optimised usage of resources and most of all environment friendly. The technologies will move from labor oriented to technology driven and will be dependent on technocrats. The technolgies of the next decades will be run by knowledge workers and manpower from countries like India and China will have a great edge. There will be urgent need to upgrade skills in these areas.

Surabhi,the question is not so simple to answer,but in my opinion robotic revolution will help in creating factories of tomorrow.

Any technology that enhances lean manufacturing with minimum human intervention to achieve required quality in economical cost. That what is the technology for factories of tomorrow. Can be more efficient machinery and equipments, machinery and equipments running on alternative power, cost effective robots, etc.
