What two things you don't like about "TooStep"?

After I have gone through this:

Top two thing you like most about "TooStep"? by Varsha

How too step helped you professionally? by Deepali Gulati

And I thought why not give TooStep proper feedback:

Undoubtedly, TooStep has helped us a lot in our careers, sharing ideas & jobs but let us make TooStep the best place by giving them feedback.....

So friends......Let us pool it & refer it to your network also such that we get perspectives from everyone.

I hope TooStep Team take this things seriously & responds to it......

TooStep is a place for - Toogether we Step ahead...!!! (Quoted by Nitin Shenoy)

Let us make this the best place for knowledge sharing & participation.......

My take:

1. I believe TooStep can do better in voting system, bcoz I am seeing site members are abusing it.

2. I want to post my knowledge items in relevant & popular communities. TooStep should come up with a functionality such that it helps users to understand in which communities one can post other than those communities which they are part of. I came to know about some hot communities after doing more research on TooStep........TooStep is a big ocean of knowledge & communities, I am finding it difficult to find the relevant & popular ones.

I hope to see this changes such that it help us (users) to share things in a more meaningful way.....

I was asked to be a moderator for a community.  I have established a couple of communities myself.  Till today, I do not know what is my role as a moderator in Toostep.  In any other event, I would have planned some good things as moderator.

We should apologise to Devi - our focus was India.  She is a large and serious contributor to toostep.

Somehow, we have not mastered the toostep platform technologically except few visible operational approaches.  Toostep would do well to clarify issues properly.

I think the UI is very cramped and confusing

personally i like a more minimal design.

But the idea rocks!!!

I think so far i didn't found any negitivity about this site, as i take every article or comment as a learning step to know something new.

So thanks TOOSTEP and the people who are connected to it.

I do not like....

1....all types of knowledge/debates/ideas....in the same section...

2....too many referrals are just taken from somewhere and forwarded to you by your connections....lacking personal point of view...

I am pretty happy with TooStep platform & I wish, it grows with wide industry professionals & experts in a mammoth way.

My 2 points could be for the betterment of the site:

1. Site members should maintain sanity on the site & post relevant stuff in the communities. Few off topics & general things are fine but need to be very careful on this note.....
2. Rightly said my by Mr. Yakin on community navigation thing.....

Thanks Deshpande ji for raising such issue !!!

Well i have been a member on this site for quite some time now.Indeed ,it is a very niche platform wherein people share their views ,learnings and experiences.

Toostep can improve on the following points:

1) Moderator(s) to check whteher posted knowledge or article is really worth it.else it will also become one of several social (not entirely networking sites) with loads of junk.

2) Toostep should come up with dashboard so that user's choice and preferences are catered.Sometime i feel that the site is cluttered.

The Users of Toostep can do :

1) Post articles that cater to global audience.

2) Participate in debates so that various view points are thrown.

3) Share interseting artifcats and experiences.

Having said that, i am sure that Toostep will continue it's growth.Kudos!! to the Toostep team.

Cheers!!

Infact the only thing about Toostep that I would like to comment about is, most of the questions posted concern socio-economic and political issues relating to India. I am an African living in the Netherlands so I would prefer communities that thinks globally.

Secondly, it is a bit fuzzy. I do not know which community I belong to. The communities and links to other communities should be easy to navigate to.

Actually I have no regrets joining Toostep since it is a Professional website. However if I am to list two things I don't like about the site it will be as follows:

1.  Some articles are limited to the Indian environment....I think people should think globally when making their presentation....language should also be in English Language to cater for the non-Indians.

2.  As professionals, I think before postings are made it should be properly formatted and in a readable form  to attract the attention of the readers. Nobody wants to read an article with poor grammar and one large paragraph. Also the article should be meaningful. Articles should not be posted for the sake of posting.
